Autumn

Be prepared for a month or so of picture uploads and adventures that have taken place....

A couple days after my first official week of school, which seems like forever ago, I spent my Friday evening in downtown Watkins Glen for Vintage week. I went to support my step dad, who was fortunate enough to show off his race car along with other vintage cars ranging from mustangs, beamers, etc.

The streets were closed down for the evening and were jam packed full of people.

Oh yeah, I got the opportunity to do the blow-horn when the cars were coming down the hill.

Next up was Keri's baby shower...

It was a BEE theme... too cute!!

The yummy food and drinks

Pretty girls

The mommy to be and her mom

A couple recent renovations have also happened in the past month that make me so happy!

Pat painting the trim that were taken off in the process of a new floor and painting.
A $10 bargain my mom found at a yard sale and just needed to be stained. I took on the task ; )

Not the best lighting below.... but my new PERGO floors and a new light gray colored paint. I had been waiting months to have the new flooring put in after making Pat rip out brand new carpet which was making my allergies worse. I can gladly say that my allergies are so much better without that damn carpet!

Sadly, it was time to put away my summer stuff and prepare myself for fall...

I have upgraded all of our hangers to matching Real Simple  hangers from Bed, Bath, & Beyond. I am very happy with the results.

I have wanting to change the color of our front door and one day I was feeling bold and bought some yellow paint...

My bathroom needed a little sprucing up as well. I'm always looking for a new project, so I went with it and changed out the shower curtain, painted the bathroom mirror and created this image:

My other projects included decorating for Halloween

I'm a little sad that we will not be having a Halloween party this year... meaning, I will not get to show off my decor, so I made sure I took enough pictures to at least fill everyone in on my blog. : )

On the first day of fall, I had the pleasure of spending the day apple picking with my mom right outside of Watkins Glen.
Needless to say, I was more than ready to wear my rain boots.

Afterward, we enjoyed some lunch and pumpkin ice cream

(sorry mom! I had to : P)

Nothing says fall like a homemade apple pie and minestrone soup

A few weeks ago, I went to cheer on my mom at the Wine Glass Marathon in Corning.
I am so proud of her for doing the half marathon for the second year in a row. It takes a lot of time, patience, and dedication in which I would never have. Good job mom!!

Okay, so I am not usually the self portrait kind of girl, but I was so proud of myself for the first time ever successfully curling my own hair... thanks to the new 'wand' I bought at Ulta.

I was beyond scared/nervous to experience Tagsylvania for my first time, but I am so happy that Pat talked me into it. It was a great night full of scares and thrills.

Its true when they say the Irish know how to party...

This guy made our night when we went to meet my friend Molly for some celebratory drinks.

Congrats Mike & Molly on your new engagement!!

Delicious food ahead:

Got this idea from a different blog....
I ended up buying the white truffle oil at TJ MAX (one of my favs) and sprayed it on the bread for toasted cheese sandwiches.

Lastly, last night we went to a friend's Oktoberfest party outside.
We had to draw a card that said different things that you had to do... I picked a card that said mask. I have been on an elephant kick lately, so I had to go with it.

Me as an elephant and Pat as a walrus

Pinata filled with little liquor bottles

Dave & Pat stuff with Edward 40 Hands.

Last night was so much fun that I came to the conclusion that it will be a long time since I choose to have to much fun again!! haha

Back to the weekly grind tomorrow.....
